I'm considering starting up a new critique group for fantasy / paranormal writers. Looking for dedicated members that would be able to critique monthly. I've had three people express interest so far. Would be great if I could get two or three more. Open to going up to ten if there's enough interest, but no higher.
Age category: adult fiction. If you write Young Adult fantasy and are looking for a group, I do have some YA fairy tales that are itching to become books so maybe I could do a subgroup or sister group.
Still working on details. If you’re interested let me know. If I can get one more person I’ll go ahead with this.
I am definitely interested in this. The more eyes reading/critting the better. Let me know if I can be of any help and/or when you star the group.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Hello. I'm new to your blog and an aspiring author. I have one book completed and would be very interested in a critique group for fantasy/paranormal. I do have a question though... while this book is (and it's potential sequels are) adult fiction with YA crossover potential, many of my other ideas are (so far) more YA. Would all of my writing be more suited to a subgroup or sister group, as you mentioned? I have never been a part of a critique group before, so I'm unsure of all it entails. In any case, I am very excited by the prospect!
ReplyDeleteHi, Heather. :)
ReplyDeleteI imagine once I create a YA sister group that there will be overlap with the adult. You'll want different feedback on the different categories which is why I want to separate them at some point. I would love to have you in the group. I'll come out with more details soon. Thanks so much for stopping by.
I am very much in! Write fantasy and science fiction for Adults.
ReplyDeleteYay for more people! I have a poll up on Facebook for the group name.
