Last Wednesday was the first day of Spring. I love Spring. So beautiful, lots of rain, all the symbolism of new life... just have to survive the allergies (thank goodness for medications). Anyway, on that first day of this new season, my husband surprised me with flowers! Very lovely, and very sweet. I'm not big into gifts, but what girl doesn't like the occasional flowers, especially when it's unexpected (not for Valentines or anniversaries).
What I do need to feel loved is Quality Time and Physical Touch. What makes it so perfect is that my husband has the same love languages! We make an effort to have date nights. Our next one is April 6. We're going to watch TMNT, then eat out at Chili's. We rarely see a movie when it's brand new in the nice theaters, so this will be a treat.
Happy Spring everyone!
What a wonderful surprise! That's so thoughtful. I love Spring, but now I'm remember why I need Claritin every day. :)
ReplyDeleteah, my first spring with allergies . . . I wonder if I'll survive? Also, one week after spring officially starts, it has the audacity to snow! (Don't ask me what 'it' is, by the way.) I look forward to babysitting Bryce for you next week so you and Jeff can have a wonderful date night.
ReplyDeleteSo...anyone found a "perfect" allergy medication to fight indoor and outdoor allergies that is safe to take daily and while breastfeeding? Anyone anyone? Sister dying from allergies here in Idaho!!
ReplyDeleteTake Claritin Beki.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Jeff for the flowers - that's the best time to receive flowers from your guy - when you totally don't expect them, it's not a holiday or an apology. I love spring too and get excited about every little flower that blooms. We now have tulips, daffodils, grape hyacinth, crocus, johhn jump ups, and more! Hurray for Spring!
