Last week we had an IEP (goal meeting) with B's teacher and therapists. He's doing very well. Last time they evaluated his goals (in November), his communication was 30% words and 70% gestures. Now he has completely reversed: 70% words, 30% gestures. Still no sentences, but his vocabulary is increasing every day, and he does attempt to imitate sentences when I read to him or someone is talking to him. School has been a great benefit to him. Because he's doing so well, we went to Toys 'R Us and bought him a bag of additional track for his Geo Trax train. He held onto that thing the whole time we walked around the store. :-)
